Concrete Patching

Thin Patch Applications

Impressive 1.8 MPa monolithic adhesion allows to make a thin concrete patch,
saving on costly demolition.

Concrete Slab Restoration

We do extensive patching which allows us to restore concrete slabs
instead of recasting them*.

Permanent Waterproofing

Our specialized industrial-strength materials have been rated
to the MTO standards to last 25 years.

* Slab recasting is done if specified by structural engineers.

Wall and Ceiling Patching

Our specialized materials allow us to do this type of patching, which is not possible with traditional methods.

Floor/Wall Corner

Floor/wall corners (cold joints) are waterproofed with our specialized applications that ensure durable results.

Minimal Demolition

Unlike with traditional methods that require a two-inch demolition of concrete surfaces, we can install concrete patches as thin as 5 mm.

About Us

Joint Seal Waterproofing is a Toronto-based company, specializing in patching concrete. Our services cover a vast geographical area, from Hamilton to the City of Toronto, and the surrounding GTA communities.

Under traditional repair methods, installing a concrete patch requires a minimum of two-inch demolition in the affected area.

The use of specialized, industrial-strength materials permits thin patch applications on any surface – including floor/wall corners and stairs, making the job much more cost-effective and faster.

Repair Methods

Patching a ceiling or a wall poses an added challenge - lack of adhesion, and non-specialized material falling out. The use of our unique products, Polyforce Plus Adhesive, and Polyforce Polymer Cement, permits thin patch applications, even on walls and ceilings. The combination of Polyforce Plus Adhesive and Polymer Cement creates a monolithic concrete patch (1.8 MPa monolithic adhesion) which is able to restore structural integrity of repaired slab.

Delaminated and unsound concrete is removed, and surfaces are cleaned in preparation for patching and restoration.

Monolithic Adhesion

Polyforce Plus Adhesive is applied as an adhesive layer. Its impressive 1.8 MPa monolithic adhesion strength ensures the concrete patch will be extremely durable.

Once the adhesive cures, we apply concrete patches as thin as 5mm to repair delaminated concrete, as opposed to traditional methods that require a minimum of 2-inch demolition.

After concrete patches are installed, the entire surface is parged and painted, for a smooth appearance.

For more information,

Q: Is it possible to patch a hole in concrete?

A: Our specialized materials do permit such repairs because they make monolithic adhesion possible, making patched concrete even stronger than the original slab.

Q: How long will the patch last?

A: Since our materials have been tested to the Ministry of Transportation Ontario standards to last for 25 years, the repair will be durable.

Q: How strong is the repaired surface?

A: It is even stronger than the original thanks to the unique qualities of our materials that provide a long-lasting, 1.8 MPa monolithic repair that ensures a full bond between new and existing concrete.
