Repair & Waterproofing
Fiberglass and specialized primer protect floor surfaces against
oil and acid leaks from machinery.
Mechanical intrusions no longer have a significant impact,
thanks to fiberglass coating.
Our specialized industrial-strength materials have been rated
to the MTO standards to last 25 years.
Frequent repeat repairs are no longer necessary thanks to our waterproofing methods that ensure durable results.
Minimal impact on machine operation – there is no need to shut it down and remove it for excessive periods of time.
Ease of Maintenance
Our top coating produces an easy-to-clean, smooth surface that does not stain or get scratched easily.
Joint Seal Waterproofing is a Toronto-based company, specializing in utility room waterproofing. Our services cover a vast geographical area, from Hamilton to the City of Toronto, including Mississauga and all of GTA.
Such rooms normally present a special challenge in terms of maintenance: water and oil leak from the machinery, right onto the concrete, and there are mechanical intrusions from heavy equipment being moved across the surface, leading to its damage and deterioration.
We provide a long-lasting solution that ensures great-looking floors thanks to the use of specialized materials.
Before any patching or crack repair can be done, concrete surfaces must be prepped properly. The floor is shaved to remove paint and any other contaminants and oils – having clean and exposed concrete is a must in order to ensure proper installation.
The use of specialized, industrial-strength materials permits patches as thin as 5 mm.
All loose unsound concrete is removed, and concrete surfaces are cleaned in preparation for patching and restoration.
Under traditional repair methods, patching concrete requires a minimum of two-inch demolition in the affected area. The use of industrial-strength specialized adhesive and polymer cement permits thin-patch applications, even on walls and ceilings. The combination of these materials creates a monolithic patch which is able to restore structural integrity of repaired slab.
Thanks to monolithic adhesion provided by our products, the repaired surface is fully restored.
To repair a crack on any concrete surface, a clearly defined procedure is followed. Cracks are prepped and then treated with specialized, industrial-strength adhesive, after which they are filled with polymer cement and a waterproofing primer.
Once crack repair and/or patching are done, primer is applied. Our specialized, industrial-strength waterproofing primer anchors itself to concrete so well, that even if the new paint on top of it get scratched, the concrete will remain protected.
The surface is painted while the primer is still curing: this creates adhesion between paint and concrete, so the paint cannot delaminate. This layer of paint serves both as a decorative coating and a second protective layer.
Fiberglass coating is used, when needed, to ensure a highly protected surface.
